Youth Football caters to teenage boys and girls aged 13 and up of all abilities and aspirations. It provides players with the opportunity to play in a graded competition within a club environment. Youth Football gradually gets more competitive to ensure once your child is 15 years old they are ready for the full rules of Australian Football.
At the Magpies, our focus is on the game and how you play it – not just winning. Our values come FIRST: Fun Improve Respect Support Team.
Features of Youth Football are as follows:
- Full size playing field.
- Full tackling rules.
- Each team has up to 22 players. Interchange may take place at any time, but all players should play 3 quarters.
- Games consist of 4 x 15 minute quarters, except U17s which is 4 x 16 minute quarters.
- Scores are recorded on competition tables, and teams are divisionalised.
- Training is held during a week night.
Fees for Youth Football
The fee for the 2019 season is $225. The NSW Government’s Active Kids voucher can be used to reduce the fee by $100.
Players receive a Magpies playing guernsey and training top as part of their registration fee.
